This type of bearings features ultra-thin wall thickness of inner and outer rings, with their design complying with the dimensional standard of D/D1≤1.143 or D/D2≤1.34. Their radial cross-sectional dimensions are generally less than a quarter of the inner diameter and do not exceed twice the diameter of the rolling elements.
Thin-walled bearings exhibit characteristics such as low friction torque, high rigidity and excellent rotational accuracy, making them particularly suitable for hollow shaft designs. During the design process, the bearing cross-sectional dimensions can be determined first, and then the journal can be adjusted as required. This allows internal space to be reserved for hydraulic pipelines, wires and connectors, achieving integrated layout and effective protection while significantly saving installation space. In addition, the thin-walled bearing series with unified cross-sectional dimensions enables standardization of components in product designs with different shaft diameters, greatly improving design flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
For thin-walled bearings in the same size series, their cross-sectional dimensions and ball diameters remain consistent and do not change with the inner diameter. The rate of increase in volume and weight as the inner diameter expands is far lower than that of conventional bearings. When the outer diameter is doubled, the weight of thin-walled bearings only increases by approximately 2.3 times, whereas the weight of standard ultra-light Series 618 bearings under the same conditions can increase by up to 6.9 times.
